Has anyone else encountered similar issues, and if so do you have any recommendations for a fix? I’m pretty comfortable with *nix and tech in general so Terminal commands are welcome. a new account in the LastPass manager and installing LastPass add-on to your browser (LastPass add-on for Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, Opera). I have not (yet) done a full reset of Safari, but I think that’ll be my next step.
Then, and this is the tricky part, the LastPass extension is available in Safari > Preferences > Extensions, but its unchecked by default. First the LastPass app has to be installed on the iMac. Also can’t find a way to switch default browser from safari to chrome. 3) Launching a website through LastPass almost never fills the username and password. 2) Auto-generate password takes 20 second instead of being instantaneous. Please Consider making your app available in. 1) Autofill isn’t working on safari or chrome (followed the instructions to re-enable it without any luck). LastPass has better features but a UI that sucks, making people drawn more to 1Pass.

Clearing the Safari caches and trimming down my bookmarks to clean those up also did not help. We want to install the LastPAss extension for Safari on our iMacs. Ever since Lastpass dropped support for their app in the Mac app store, their software for the Mac has gone downhill. I’ve scoured my ~/Library/… folders and removed all old remnants of anything that seemed related to LastPass and that did not fix it, so I’m assuming this is a Safari issue. I had a case open with LastPass (well, LogMeIn), but their only recommendation was to uninstall and reinstall, which I’ve done many times, and then they closed my ticket without responding. It doesn’t happen in Firefox, Chrome, or Brave browsers, so it seems to be specific to Safari, and it also doesn’t seem to happen in a test account, so it also appears to be related to something that got migrated from my previous systems. All LastPass users who enabled Grid as their MFA option are now guided through the re-enrollment process to choose either Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator as their new, more secure multifactor option to replace Grid. Ever since upgrading to Catalina on my iMac and migrating to it on a new 16" MacBook Pro from my old 17" MacBook Pro I’ve been having repeated crashes of LastPass in Safari. v4.116.0 - June 4th 2023 - Chrome, Chromium Edge, Firefox, Safari, IE.
